Easy Apple Cobbler Recipe
This Easy Apple Cobbler combines tender apples, a simple Bisquick batter, and just the right amount of sugar for an easy, old-fashioned dessert. Serve it warm with vanilla ice cream for a delicious fall treat.

This recipe is from my mom's collection. I've shared before that she worked in an elementary school while we were growing up and the teachers and staff shared many recipes and this is one more. When the teacher shared the recipe, she wrote that they made this recipe in a first grade class to celebrate Johnny Appleseed's birthday! I don't remember having Apple Cobbler in first grade! Those were some lucky kids!
I do love to make this recipe when apple season arrives, there’s nothing quite like a homemade apple dessert with warm spices. It’s a simple, no-fuss dessert that brings classic comfort food to the table. Serve it warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of caramel sauce for a wonderful dessert you’ll want to make all fall long.

Tips for Making the Best Apple Cobbler
Choose the best apples like Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, Pink Lady, and Gala apples are all great choices. Granny Smith apples add a tart flavor, while Honeycrisp and Gala apples are sweeter. I personally like Granny Smith because they are tart apples that work well in this recipe!
Cut apples into similar sizes as this helps the fresh apples soften evenly and become tender.
Let it rest before serving, allowing the cobbler to cool slightly helps the apple filling settle before you scoop it into bowls.
Serve it warm and add a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of caramel sauce for an extra-special fall dessert.

How to Store Easy Apple Cobbler
Let the cobbler cool before covering it with aluminum foil or plastic wrap. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator and enjoy within 3-4 days for the best quality. Reheat individual portions in the microwave or warm a larger portion in the oven until heated through. If you prefer the topping a little crispier, reheating in the oven is a good option.
