Indulgent and easy no-bake treats with chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, peanut butter and crispy rice cereal - so delicious!
This recipe was in my maternal Grandmother's recipe collection. It is an easy version of Scotcheroos (chocolate, butterscotch, peanut butter rice krispie treats/bars) that you can make in no time! Doing a little research, I found this recipe originally came from Kellogg's in the 1960's! I'm so glad I found the recipe in her collection because this is a delicious treat that is super easy to make!

How to Make Choco-Scotch Clusters
Melt the chocolate and butterscotch chips with the peanut butter, add the crisp rice cereal and spoon on to parchment paper. So quick and easy!
Step 1: Place a piece of parchment paper or wax paper on a sheet pan and set aside. In a large microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate chips, butterscotch chips and peanut butter for 30-second intervals on high, then stir. Continue to microwave at 30-second increments until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Do not overcook. You may also melt the ingredients in the top of a double boiler starting on medium heat then lowering to low heat on your stove top.
Step 2: Add the crispy rice cereal to the chocolate, butterscotch and peanut butter mixture and combine until the cereal mixture is completely covered (NOTE: In the photos, I had to add the mixture to the crispy rice cereal because I didn't use a big enough microwave-safe bowl)! Drop by spoonfuls on to parchment paper or wax paper and allow 15 minutes to set up.
These treats are perfect for potlucks, tailgates, bake sale, lunch boxes or your holiday season platters!
