How to Make Corn Flake Toffee Treats
This no-bake treat comes together quickly!
Step 1: In a large mixing bowl, add the corn flakes and set aside. Line 2 baking sheet with wax paper or parchment paper and set aside.
Step 2: In a large saucepan melt the toffee, butter and heavy whipping cream over low heat to medium heat stirring constantly until completely melted. It does take about 10 minutes for the toffee to melt completely. Remove from heat and add vanilla and mix until fully combined.
Step 3: Pour the toffee mixture over the corn flakes and mix until the corn flakes are coated in toffee. Drop mixture by tablespoons onto prepared baking sheets, forming into small mounds. The mounds sometimes need a little bit of help taking shape before they set.
Step 4: Melt the chocolate in the microwave in 30 second increments stirring after each cook time until the mixture is creamy and smooth. Put mixture in baggie, close and remove air from the bag then cut the tip. Drizzle the chocolate over the top of each Corn Flake Toffee Treat and allow chocolate to dry. If making this treat at the holidays, add a few festive sprinkles while the chocolate is still wet!
How to Store Corn Flake Toffee Treats
Corn Flake Toffee Treats may be stored at room temperature in a container with a loose fitting lid. The treats will loosen up if they are in an airtight container. They may also be stored in the refrigerator, but will need to get to room temperature before serving!
