If you’re craving something sweet, this Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookie recipe is the perfect way to satisfy that sugar fix. With just a little time and a batch of rich, irresistible dough, you’ll have soft, chewy cookies that bring together the best of both worlds - chocolate and peanut butter.

This chocolate peanut butter cookie recipe came from a friend I worked with many years ago during our potluck-filled office days. She’d always bring a batch of these rich, chewy cookies, and they disappeared fast! When I made them at home for the first time, my husband, a huge Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup fan, immediately said they gave him those same irresistible peanut butter and chocolate vibes.
Few things in life are as satisfying as a cookie that hits all the right notes - soft, chewy, rich, and just the right amount of sweet. This cookie checks all those boxes and more. Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies are a dreamy marriage of two beloved flavors, and a recipe you may want to keep in your rotation. Â

If you’ve been scrolling through cookie recipes or wandering through the grocery store wondering what to make next, consider this a sign. These easy to make and chewy Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies bring the nostalgic comfort of a classic peanut butter cookie but with a chocolate twist that transforms them into a decadent dessert. Whether you're using chocolate frosting or a chocolate fudge frosting, the result is one of the best cookie creations you’ll taste. The peanut butter flavor is front and center thanks to creamy peanut butter, and the texture strikes that perfect balance - crispy edges and irresistibly soft cookies on the inside. It is only five ingredients, but your family will think you make delicious, decadent desserts!Â

Tips for Making Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies
Cold eggs can throw off the texture of your dough; room temperature eggs blend more easily into wet ingredients, leading to a more uniform cookie texture.
Whether you're using a stand mixer with a paddle attachment or a hand mixer, begin at low speed and work your way up to medium speed or medium-high speed as needed. Always scrape down the sides and check the bottom of the bowl to make sure everything is incorporated evenly.
Rolling the dough into evenly sized balls of dough (or dough balls) helps ensure even baking; a cookie scoop works well!
Crunchy peanut butter can be used in place of creamy peanut butter if you want a little crunch!
Want a little more chocolate, add in semi-sweet or white chocolate chips
